Familia Hub offers statutory visits for children who are subject to Child in Need, Child Protectionor Looked After Children Plans. These visits are carried out by qualified and experienced practitioners who understand the importance of clear safeguarding oversight, professional curiosity and accurate recording. Each visit focuses on the child’s presentation, their lived experience, the home environment and the parent or carer’s ability to meet their needs. Practitioners explore routines, relationships, safetyand any changes in circumstances that may impact the child’s wellbeing. The visit concludes with a detailed, factualand analytical record that supports Local Authorities in fulfilling their statutory duties and maintaining oversight of vulnerable children.

These visits are designed to respond to urgent safeguarding concerns, unexpected changes in family circumstances, or situations where a child’s safety or welfare may be at risk. Our practitioners attend promptly, assess the situation with calm professionalism and provide clear, factual observations that support timely decision‑making.

During an emergency visit, practitioners focus on the child’s immediate safety, the condition of the home environment, the presentation and behaviour of adults in the household and any indicators of risk or instability. They gather essential information, liaise with relevant professionals where appropriate and ensure that any urgent concerns are escalated without delay. A detailed written record is provided following the visit, offering a clear account of the circumstances and any recommendations for further action.

This service ensures that children remain safeguarded at all times, even during evenings, weekends and public holidays, and provides Local Authorities and legal professionals with the reassurance that urgent situations will be managed swiftly and competently.
